Download macOS Ventura DMG file for clean installation (macOS 13)

Apple introduced macOS 13 Ventura at the WWDC conference.

The Stage Manager function has been added to the system. It moves inactive windows to the side, leaving only the active application on the desktop. In some ways, this is similar to the Dock, but only for windows.

Compatible devices for macOS Ventura

Unlike macOS Monterey, which supported many Mac computers, Apple shortened this list. For example, everyone’s favorite Mac Pro in the form of a trash can will not support macOS 13 Ventura. Here’s a complete list of compatible Macs:

  • 2017 iMac and later
  • 2017 iMac Pro and later
  • MacBook Air 2018 and later
  • MacBook Pro 2017 and later
  • Mac Pro 2019 and later
  • Mac mini and later 2018 models

Create a bootable installer for macOS

Step 1: Format the USB

Go to Disk Utility (Click on Launchpad > Other > Disk Utility). Then Format the USB with the following information:

  • Name: Untitled (This name is optional, subject to change)
  • Format: MacOS Extended (Journaled)
  • Scheme: GUID Partion Map

Step 2: Copy the installation file to the Application folder

After downloading, if the .DMG, double-click to mount, then drag the installation file to the Application folder. If it is InstallAssistant.pkg file, double-click to install.

Step 3: Plug in the USB flash drive or other volume that you’re using for the bootable installer.

Step 4: Open Terminal, which is in the Utilities folder of your Applications folder.

Step 5: Type or paste one of the commands below into Terminal, then press Return to enter the command. Each command assumes that the installer is in your Applications folder, and Untitled is the name of the USB flash drive or other volume you’re using. If the volume has a different name, replace Untitled in the command with the name of your volume.

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Ventura.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled

Step 6: When prompted, type your administrator password. Terminal doesn’t show any characters as you type. Then press Return.

Step 7:When prompted, type Y to confirm that you want to erase the volume, then press Return. Terminal shows the progress as the volume is erased.

Step 8: After the volume is erased, you may see an alert that Terminal would like to access files on a removable volume. Click OK to allow the copy to proceed.

Step 7:When Terminal says that it’s done, the volume will have the same name as the installer you downloaded, such as Install macOS Ventura. You can now quit Terminal and eject the volume.

(Android 13 Beta 2.1)Android 13 is edging closer and closer, and we’ve already seen a lot of what’s to come with the next platform release. We’ve seen the company adding new features with each build, and some highlights include the photo picker API and more granular media files permissions. Most recently we saw Android 13 Beta 2 drop during this year’s Google I/O which set the groundwork for a more predictive back gesture, but the company is already out with Beta 2.1, packing in a few software fixes for users who are currently testing out the betas.

When will Android 13 release?

For Android updates, Google typically reveals a “platform stability” milestone so that developers can know when Google intends to deliver the final SDK/NDK APIs, along with final internal APIs and app-facing system behaviors. Google intends to reach platform stability in June 2022, with several weeks at minimum planned before the official release. Android 12 hit platform stability in August of 2021 and the final version was released in October of that year. Google has released more details about the release timeline that you can check out.

Android 13 Beta 2.1 bug fixes

These fixes are as follows:

  • Fixed an issue where typing in the search bar resulted in a blank list of suggestions.
  • Fixed an issue where devices would crash and restart when turning on the hotspot.
  • Fixed an issue where a continuous call dialing sound could be heard in the background during a phone call.
  • Fixed an issue where devices would crash and restart after disconnecting from Android Auto.

Google also says that there are stability improvements.

If you’re someone who’s using one of these betas, then you should think about installing Beta 2.1 that just came out. Note though that the known issues list that Google published for Beta 2 applies here, it just seems to be the case that Google deemed these ones to be a higher priority and fixed them in between beta releases.

All in all, it’s a pretty minor release, and it’s good to see Google ironing out bugs in between releases. Beta builds are designed to be used by users who want to try out the next version of Android, so while you shouldn’t use it on your daily driver, I’m sure plenty of users do. As a result, some of these are pretty problematic bugs that could have caused problems for people.

Catalina DMG File is the latest build of Apple’s Mac operating system, version 10.15. Released in October 2019, it’s packed with plenty of new features Mac owners should love, like spreading cloud-based media across focus apps (bye-bye iTunes), second-screen support for iPads, support for iPad-like apps, and more.

Mac owners should consider upgrading to the latest version on a security level at the very least, just like Windows. And just like Windows 10, upgrading to the latest version is completely free. You can grab Catalina simply by loading the Mac’s App Store — the only cost is your time and bandwidth.

First, make sure your Mac can run Catalina. Apple provides a handy list of compatible Macs, but here we summarize the list:

  • MacBook Pro from mid-2012 onward
  • MacBook Air from mid-2012 onward
  • 12-inch MacBook from early 2015 onward
  • iMac Pro from 2017 onward
  • iMac from late 2012 onward
  • Mac Mini from late 2012 onward
  • Mac Pro from late 2013 onward
