Samsung Galaxy S 7

The Samsung Galaxy S 7, released in 2016, marked a significant evolution from its predecessor, the Galaxy S6. Here’s an in-depth overview:

  1. Design and Display: The S 7 retained the premium glass and metal construction but reintroduced water and dust resistance, a feature absent in the S6 [4]. Its 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a Quad HD resolution offered vibrant colors and deep blacks.
  2. Performance: Powered by either a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 chipset (depending on the region), and coupled with 4GB of RAM, the S7 delivered smooth performance and multitasking capabilities.
  3. Camera: The 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera introduced faster autofocus and improved low-light performance, while the 5-megapixel front camera captured detailed selfies.
  4. Battery: Despite a slightly smaller battery compared to its predecessor, optimizations in software and hardware provided efficient power management, offering all-day battery life for most users.
  5. Software: Initially launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the S7 received updates up to Android 8.0 Oreo, along with Samsung’s custom user interface, providing a blend of features and customization options.
  6. Additional Features: The S7 reintroduced expandable storage via microSD card support, a feature omitted in the S6, and retained features like fingerprint scanning and Samsung Pay.

In summary, the Samsung Galaxy S 7 offered a refined design, impressive display, powerful performance, enhanced camera capabilities, and notable features, making it a popular choice among smartphone users in 2016.

  4. After your phone restart, go to Settings> Developer Options > turn on “USB Debug“.
  5. Continue, power off your phone, reboot to Download Mode, again.
  6. Open ODIN, extract the full firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 3 files:
